Welcome to Season 2010
Welcome to the PCYC OVER 35s FOOTBALL COMPETITION website.
Set up in 2004, the objectives of the competition were to provide over aged players an opportunity to continue playing the sport
they enjoy most well into their senior years, without the serious competitive edge.
After two years of playing at the Redcliffe Hockey Club, and one year at the PCYC fields, we are now established at the Redcliffe Showgrounds.
The eight team competition is not as competitive as most, and the aim is to provide fitness for
those players wanting to continue their love of the game into their "golden years", encourage novices to have a go,
involve families and overall promote a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.
With 6 seasons now behind us, we still have 5 original teams in the competition along with Shadwell, Baysiders and Brighton Bulldogs, who joined us
in 2009. We welcome individuals who may be interested in joining us to make the competition bigger and even better.

FINES & DONATIONS
To all OVER35s Players... Please find attached a receipt from Chaplain Watch – this is the charity that we donated $104.00 from fines received from players.
Any future fines raised by the P.C.Y.C. Over 35’s will be donated to well meaning charities and with this in mind, watch out for changes in the general rules next year.

All players intending to play in this year's Over 35 competition please register your intention by

Our new Indemnity and Registration forms are now online. (see links above) The forms can be downloaded, printed and completed. They can then be emailed to Ellen
or taken to Season Format.
Registration Details
Teams competing in a 22-24 Week Competition including end-of-season Cup Series.
The majority of players must be 35 years or older as at 31st December 2009. We allow 3 Under 35 players only and they must be
between 32-34 years of age. No exceptions! This situation will be reviewed periodically to ensure a consistent level standard amongst the teams.
Registration Options:-
1) Bi-Annual - $125 paid at Registration then a further $125 paid by 15th Fixture
2) Full payment in one lump sum - $220 paid at Registration which reduces the full fee by $30.00
The registration fee are inclusive of Match Fees Etc.
All Games will be played at Redcliffe Showgrounds.

Aims
The aim of the competition is to shorten the season, allow a decent break for holidays and involvement with families
in other activities, and continue to allow players of mature-age status to play into their golden years without the
intensity of serious competitive football.
There are other football competitions in the local area that offer more intense and competitive playing levels.
We recommend players seeking
those levels consider whether our social competition is suited to their needs.
We also recommend that newcomers and existing players read our Competition Standards before playing this year. Its our intention
to stamp out dangerous foul play and verbal abuse towards other players and officials.
Format
The competition format is fairly basic. Games duration is 70 minutes, with a no slide tackle rule, and
there are at least 3 games every Friday night. For insurance purposes, all players must be members of PCYC.
