Welcome to Season 2010

PCYC Over35s Emblem Hello and Happy New year to all, including Foundation Players, team Managers, Players that have joined us over the time that this competition has been up and running and of course new players that are or may be associating with us for the first time in 2010.

There will be some changes to the way in which the games are played this year. It is accepted that not every player may believe these are necessary or appropriate, however they have been implemented for the general good and to ensure that the true spirit of the competition continuous to be our paramount consideration - namely:-

[a] Playing football
[b] Sportsmanship
[c] Friendship
[d] Participation
[e] Fitness
[f] Fun

This is a good time to again remind all players that there are other competitions where more serious and competitive play is available and expected - if that is what they want or need.

Important Information

FEES AND SIGN ONS

Sign-On's at this stage on are scheduled for the following dates and will take place at the Redcliffe P.C.Y.C. Klingner Road between the hours of 7.00pm and 9.00pm.

March 12th, 19th and 26th.

These are the only times scheduled and it is anticipated that Team Managers at least in so far as their existing (past) players are concerned will attempt to organise their teams so that the registration process can be simplified.

After that Sign On date there will be an arrangement made for late-comers to register at the PCYC however this practice will not be encouraged.

Ideally the nucleus of all teams will be known shortly after the 26th March.

Managers need to liaise with the organising committee in terms of their needs re new players.

At Registration players will need to pay the following:-

[1] P.C.Y.C. Membership if not already obtained for the 2010 calendar year - $30
[2] Building Levy associated with P.C.Y.C. general membership $10
[3] Registration for full 2010 Season $165.00

Although last year a split year payment was on offer, this is not being repeated this year to cut down on Administration.

All Players wanting to commence the season will need to pay the full registration fee.

To bring the full cost of the activity in line with previous years, a further Match fee of approximately $2.10 per game calculated across 24 games of in total $50.00 will be imposed. Managers will provide players with information concerning the payment of this fee.

Players leaving the competition before the half way mark through injury will be refunded up to half of their match fee payment and subject to consideration by committee, possibly a portion (no more than one third) of their $165.
