Welcome to Season 2010
Hello and Happy New year to all, including Foundation Players, team Managers, Players that have joined us over the time that this competition has been up and running and of course new players that are or may be associating with us for the first time in 2010.
There will be some changes to the way in which the games are played this year. It is accepted that not every player may believe these are necessary or appropriate, however they have been implemented for the general good and to ensure that the true spirit of the competition continuous to be our paramount consideration - namely:-
[a] Playing football
[b] Sportsmanship
[c] Friendship
[d] Participation
[e] Fitness
[f] Fun
This is a good time to again remind all players that there are other competitions where more serious and competitive play is available and expected - if that is what they want or need.

Important Information
SPONSORSHIP
Some limited opportunity for sponsored membership (this covers both the $165 and match fee payment) will be available as in previous years.
To qualify, and for this to be authorised by the organising committee, the services provided to the competition must be deemed significant.
Previous examples are:-
[a] Responsibility for line marking, plus flags in and out for the entire season.
[b] Provision of line marking paint for the entire season.
Sponsorship is welcome to assist with any aspect of the running of the competition including provision of balls, nets, strips with general sponsorship to the competition being recognised on the web site with players being encouraged to support their business.
The website will this year incorporate a player business directly with donation of up to $100 in value being required.
FRIENDLIES
Several Managers have already rallied their troops and have organised Friendlies or practices. None of this is obviously part of the competition
itself and no one is covered by any form of insurance until after such time as they are fully registered and the competition properly commences.

PERSONAL TRAINING
We will try to arrange for the P.C.Y.C. Personal Trainer to run sessions between 6.30pm and 7.30pm on all three (3) registration nights with such sessions
occurring at the P.C.Y.C. itself.
The fee for participation will be $5.00 per player per night payable to Steve. These sessions may be extended subject to the trainer's availability and
expressions of interest.
P.C.Y.C. KLINGNER ROAD FACILITY
Many players anticipated that the competition would move to the Klingner Road P.C.Y.C. grounds this year given the completion of the long-awaited P.C.Y.C.
Football Clubhouse.
The Clubhouse is not fully operational and does require further financial input before this will occur, and as the focus of the P.C.Y.C.
has been to construct this building, there has not been able to any attention to field upgrades and ongoing maintenance including lights.
It is therefore deemed premature for our competition which would have reasonably significant impact upon the playing fields to move to that venue this
year given the significant use by all of the Junior P.C.Y.C.
Football teams on match day training and also the other two (2) QSF Senior Teams. Although disappointing, the P.C.Y.C. Football Committee decision is
understandable.
The venue of our competition will be reconsidered for the 2011 season.
The benefit of course of the Showground is that we are the sole users providing us with a level of autonomy.
We have limited facilities in relation to food, drink, toilets etc.
The lights are reasonable reliable and of a reasonable standard and it is possibly the best field on the Peninsula in terms of being playable in or
after wet conditions. It also has ample convenient parking and it is at a central location.
