For many years we have been looking at
other alternatives for the Outdoor Football.
Last year we ran a summer 7 a side competition at the
PCYC grounds on 2 3/4 fields using full size goals.
The format was simple, normal fifa rules, with no slide tackles, no
off-sides and all players registered as individual registrants (not teams). General feedback from last year was the competition was very good, well organised,
and players behaviour was exemplary with very few yellow cards. We look forward to running a similar competition again this year.
Players were all seeded and then drawn out of the hat to fill each team, of 12
players (5 subs), by organisers, with a total of 8 teams taking part.
This year we expect to run 3 divisions; Social, Over 35 and Open. The latter two divisions will take registrations for teams who will supply their own strips, while the Social division
will be selected by gradings and use the shirts purchased for last years competition.

The minimum age is 16 years old, games to be played on 3 fields, 20 mins each way, no halftime, 5 mins between games. Kick-Off times 6.35, 7.20, 8.05 and 8.50.
The competition will run from Friday October 16 to December 18, with finals, with all Registrations to be finalised by early October 2009 and teams and players
being allocated before October 16.
We encourage all of you who want to keep fit to enter this competition. It's a good opportunity to mix with players from other teams and also members
of the Youth and Mens PCYC teams and others who have not previously played at the PCYC.
Remember that each player will be seeded and there will be an equal distribution of players with similar talent - hopefully a very balanced and fun competition.
There will be goal scoring restrictions per player (4 goals per game).
The games are 20 minutes each way, no half time and there are, no offsides, no slide tackles, and NO tackles from behind.
Registration fees for the competition, shirt hire and match fees for current PCYC Members are all included in the fees (for Social division only).
A reminder to everyone that proceeds of this type of activity, as is the case of the Over 35 Winter Competition, will go back to the PCYC for general
use to enhance the community through 'youth development' but specifically to assist in revenue raising to go towards the PCYC redevelopment including
the Football Club house which is about to commence and thereafter the redevelopment of the entire complex which we hope will include a modern indoor stadium.
The Signs ons are held at the Redcliffe PCYC starting on Monday September 21 & 28, & October 5 from 7.00 - 8.30pm. There is an all up front fee of ($70.00) including rego,
game fees & (shirt hire Social only) to cut down on admin.
