A point each has been deducted from Rawhide and United.
Consideration has been given to the plea of United Manager in relation to the 2 points being removed after playing an unregistered player on the 4th May 2007.
1 point has been removed from United for permitting Robert Clignett to play without first completing necessary registration on the 4th May 2007.
1 point has been removed from Rawhide for permitting Rob Geale to play without first completing necessary registration on the 4th May 2007.
This decision was made on the basis of the following:-
a) There was a six (6) week period where the issue of "registration" and "payment" has been canvassed again and again - therefore all Managers were well aware of this Competition Rule. I can certainly email through copies of all previous emails outlining this rule.
b) There were no discussions with myself prior to permitting an "unregistered" player to play. I certainly did not include those players names on the Match Cards or Team Cards as a player permitted to play.
c) It is unreasonable to simply ignore this given that registered players have done everything they could to ensure that they are registered and financial.
d) This Friday is only Round 3 of the Season and we are not about to start bending the rules and all rules must be across the board.
Please note that any complaints, such as this, in the future must be raised with me in writing and not during Friday night games so that it is considered appropriately.
