Rules

The majority of players must be 35 years or older as at 31st December this year. Players aged 34 and turning 35 before that date are illegible to play. We are also allowing 3 Under 35 players only and they must be 32-34 years of age. No exceptions!

This situation will be reviewed periodically to ensure a consistent level standard amongst the teams.

Any team who plays non-registered players will lose 2 points per game until all players are registered.

Teams must have at least 7 players registered to their team on the field each match or a forfeit will be registered.

2 points will be lost if the same player is borrowed to play more then twice in a team. No players may be borrowed for the finals.

Only registered players will be able to play during all games.

The players listed on the team game card will be deemed as having played during the match. Borrowed players must be identified on the card with an asterisk (*). Borrowing players is only permitted if a team is short and must not exceed numbers of opposition.

All slide tackles are banned. Persistent offenders will be penalised with a yellow card and red carded for any slide tackles thereafter. All slide tackle offences are awarded a direct free-kick. A player can slide for the ball only when there are no players in the immediate vicinity.

No desent or foul language. Violence, fighting or verbal abuse will not be tolerated.

The Referee has sole disciplinary powers.

Yellow card - 2 Yellow cards result in send off.

All players must wear shin pads.

Red carded players cannot be interchanged and must miss the next game at minimum. This year players can receive up to a $50 fine and 3 games suspension for serious foul play and fighting. A $25-50 penalty (to be decided by commitee) must be paid to recommence play after the missed game. A 2nd red card is still one match suspension depending on offence, but a $50 penalty must be paid before the player can play again. A 3rd red card will lead to a permanent suspension with no refund of fees.

Teams may nominate a maximum of 25 players per team, and 18 per game.

All players must be PCYC Club Members.

Insurance cover is limited to $500 per week after one week, so serious consideration should be given to taking out private insurance if required by individual players. Players accept total liability for any injury or loss that may be incurred as a consequence of entering the competition and indemnify the organisers, and PCYC absolutely.

All appropriate paperwork (being PCYC membership form, and registration form) and monies paid before registration is deemed to be complete. Failure to do so will incur point penalties should an unregistered player take the field.
