Structure For Season 2009

The structure for the 2009 season, subject to registration numbers will be as follows:

1. 8 team competition (11 a-side);

2. Teams to register a minimum of 13 players, and a maximum of 20 players per side;

3. All players but me registered members of the PCYC for 2009 (fees for 2009 attached); Additions this year include $10 building levy and $5 admin fee.

4. The all inclusive fee for registration and all match fees to participate in the competition is $250 per player, with the option of two biannual payments of $125 or and preferably one up front payment of a reduced fee of $220;

5. Sign on days are as follows:

Friday the 27th of February and 6th March from 5pm to 7pm;

Saturday the 28th February from 9am to 11pm - these are the only sign on's that will be conducted

6. Team nominations forms must be registered with the PCYC by Saturday the 27th February by all managers;

7. The 8 team format has been compiled on the basis of participation by all 2008 teams other than Rawhide who may have dropped out, plus a new team from Brighton and possibly a new team from North Lakes and a new team Shadwell (some United players have formed a new side).

8. In the event of any additional teams beyond the original 8, it is conceivable that a 9th team will be allowed to enter the competition which will result in there being a bye incorporated into the fixtures. This will be determined around the 27th February;

9. The first friendly game will commence on 20th march and first fixture game on the 27th March;

10. Assuming either an 8 or 9 team format there will be a first half of the season comprising of approximately 16 games (each team will play each other twice);

11. The second half of the season will comply of the division being split into division 1 and division 2 (top 4 and bottom 4 teams at that point in time) with again each team playing each other twice. I final series in both divisions will then take place.

It looks as if each team will play approximately 24 games, which given that player on average made approximately $10 per game last year plus $100 registration makes the one up registration fee extremely good value.

Although the fees are non negotiable and no player will take the field prior to being financial, with the exception of the biannual payments being allowed, we have an incentive.

We need a player who can arrive at 6pm on each match night to mark both fields and place and remove corner flags - registrations fees will be waived for that player with the line parker and paint being collected and returned to and from the PCYC.
